Ikatan Law was founded in Subang Jaya with a specific purpose: to offer family law counsel that does not add to the weight people are already carrying. The name — ikatan, meaning bond or tie in Malay — reflects what we focus on. Not the severing of relationships, but the careful, considered way in which families reshape their connections through change.
Over the years, we have helped many individuals and families in Selangor navigate separation, custody arrangements, and partnership agreements. What has stayed consistent is our approach: we listen first, we explain clearly, and we move at a pace that allows people to make decisions they feel settled with.

Ikatan Law works exclusively in family matters — separation proceedings under the Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act 1976, child custody and access arrangements under the Guardianship of Infants Act 1961, and the careful drafting of marital and domestic partnership agreements. This concentration allows us to offer advice that is current, relevant, and proportionate to your circumstances.
